sales@huissmetal.comHastelloy is a nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy that combines good oxidation resistance, high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance. Hastelloy is a more exotic and expensive material of construction than stainless steel. When you are dealing with an extremely corrosive product and stainless steel is not deemed suitable for the process, hastelloy is usually the best alternative.
Hastelloy and Inconel are both nickel-chromium-molybdenum-based alloys. They are all corrosion-resistant and extremely strong metals. Hastelloy has greater molybdenum content than Inconel, although Inconel has a higher chromium concentration.
